Even if you are in foster care, you still have the same right to choose what to do with a pregnancy as any other teen.  That means if you are pregnant, you can choose whether you want to:

• get an abortion
• continue a pregnancy
• or set up an adoption.

No one can make this choice for you or force you to make a certain choice.  That includes your social worker,  your group home, your foster caregiver, your parents or even a judge. For more information, check out the FosterReproHealth.org website.

You also have the right to go to the health care provider of your choice.  If you feel like you aren’t being given a choice or your rights are being violated, contact your lawyer or social worker.
